Office Manager - Kathy Henricks
I have the "fun" job of office manager for Citrus Heights Pet Hospital. I became the manager when Dr. Henricks and I bought this hospital 12 years ago. Yes, I am the "other half" of the Henricks duo. Dr. Henricks and I have been married for over 30 years and have two grown daughters, one son-in-law, and a granddaughter and grandson. We also have Bob, a blind basset hound . I have always loved animals and have had an assortment of animals through the years from fish to horses. I think dogs are my favorites, tho'. I have always had a dog in my life. In fact, I met Dr. Henricks when my puppy became very ill and had to see the veterinarian and we were married a year later.
What I like about working here at Citrus Heights Pet Hospital are the pets and the people. First, we have such a great staff here - everyone really cares about the animals and wants them to have the best care possible. Second, the pet owners are wonderful people who become like family. Third, the pets themselves - some are scared until they get to know us, and some are funny and happy and great to be around. I love all the different personalities we see every day and never know what is going to walk, run, hobble or be carried through our doors.
Oh, my job here? I am the one who gets to hire, fire, schedule, pay bills, order the food and drugs, back up the receptionist, back up the technicians, and even, occasionally scoop poop!! There's never a dull moment here at Citrus Heights Pet Hospital.
Veterinary Technician - Teri Wilson
I have worked for Dr. Henricks at Citrus Heights Pet Hospital for over 5 years. I enjoy working with all animals and love the challenge of helping to heal pets. What I love most about Citrus Heights Pet Hospital is the "family type" atmosphere> Working with Dr. Henricks makes my job fun. He is also a great doctor and surgeon.
I am a newlywed of two years and have 4 wonderful kids! (Try to figure that one out?!) I also happen to be the proud owner of the cutest and most lovable mini-dachshund named "Snickers". He's a one year old, male, dapple who I was lucky to adopt through a client of ours here at the hospital.
I hope in the near future to become a Registered Veterinary Technician here at Citrus Heights Pet Hospital and continue working with so many of our wonderful patients and owners too.
